I think Masha will have tough competition from Mattek-Sands in the first round.
Once she gets past that bump, she should cruise through the 4th round but Camilla and Domi may come on her way as well.

talking about Maria's chances, one negatively and one positively. That is why we have forums
and discussions. Why did not you jump on them?

I don't believe an iota on the conspiracy theory about draws.

Yes, Bethany had a long lay off at the end of last season due to leg injury.
But, she played in Sydney. Had two wins against quality players, Eugene
Bouchard and Aga Radwanska. Then she retired in the third match against
Madison Keys.

I did not see that match. I don't know whether she got injured again
in that match or decided not to push herself too much before AO.

If later is the case, Maria is in some trouble. If former is the case,
it could be the score line give by My Sherona.

This thread is made with the clear intention to be something for Pova fans to enjoy - however few they are - Therefor all positive hopes and/or predictions of her coming achievements from fans are welcome - However those who just wanna post to demote Masha or to shatter her fans hopes and expectations should think twice how honorable their intentions really are and wonder if their isn't an other thread which is way more suitable to spread their tennis wisdom and insight predictions about Masha - They probably have a much better chance to get some appreciation there

I disagree. No thread of a public forum can be limited to a subset of users. Threads
can only be limited by the topic under discussion and not based on the nature of
the views that may be expressed in a thread.

When you expressed your right angst against wordings such as "Shut the hell up",
I was in agreement with you. But, I am afraid you are way off on this.

Thank you Moxie629 - *smiles* - I've never stated that GameSetAndMath was illiterate nor did I took offense when he/she suggested that I was - I actually only stated that he/she maybe was and he/she had plenty of possibilities to proof me wrong - All I've tried is to make him/her understand that this was not a thread for him/her to spread his/her vast tennis knowledge - insights and/or negative Masha predictions - Unfortunately I've been unsuccessful so far
