I think there is professional jealousy on the WTA and Jankovic has always displayed this on the sisters.I think there is resentment under the surface with the way Serena has been winning....
Serena will prevail in the YEC 2013...just saw it in the tea leaves..

this season was wonderful for Serena fans...we were spoiled beyond measure.
Na li did very well and she is a classy player, never hear her saying anything negative about other players.I am so happy that two mature players played for the title and all was in good spirit.
JJ is such a negative person, maybe thats why she never won a slam...
Serena is the true no.1 who leads by example..no.1 wins titles they are supposed to win as leader of the tour.
Congrats to Na li for reaching a career high ranking of no.3,showing the youngsters thats its not over until its over..
Serena and Na li are showing that age is just a number...

Williams will reward herself with a minimum two-week break away from the cold — somewhere she can enjoy some bikini weather.

“I definitely won’t be hanging out with my buddy Wilson for a while,” she said laughing, referring to her trusty racket. “We need some time apart, even though I love him.”

Williams’ win derailed Asia’s chance to dominate the Championships as it makes its move to Singapore next year. Hsieh Su-Wei and Peng Shuai defeated Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova to win the doubles title.

In her career She has controlled the American invasion and

stopped the Russian invasion, thwarted the Belgian invasion,

trumped the Serbian invasion, and now is getting ready for

the Asian invasion.

..yes there was the Russian,Belgian,Serbian sisters and some retired and unretired. The Williams sisters have stood the test of time..the Russian invasion ushered in Myskina,Dementieva,Safina, pova and Sveta.Belgians came and retired unretired and finally we hope retired again.Serbians made noise around 08 but these days just to win an international or reach 4th rd at a slam is satisfactory to them..
The William sisters never retired and played at their own pace on their own terms and still kicking butt...they never retreated but reloaded..:clap

From what I hear, the city I was born and raised in , Istanbul, had been a good host to the ladies in the last 3 years. I am also glad my father was able to see some live tennis and watch her favorite ladies before he passed last year. He could not stop talking about their power for a month!

On to Singapore...

Yes Murat. Istanbul was a wonderful host for the championships. Probably drew the most crowd support and attendance than Doha, Madrid, Germany or the Staples Center. Most of the top women remarked how well run the event is in relation to other tourneys. I'm hoping the Asian crowd supports the tournament as well as Istanbul.

Instabul Instabul....ooowee..that has been the best stop on the WTA calender.I like how the fan were so excited to be watching tennis and they showed the players that they support them.
The fans showed appreciation for the players...they knew how to have fun.I was surprised by the support they gave Serena over the other girls...even JJ silly antics didnt sway them.
