?!?!?!

That's almost a 5000 point gap between the number 1 ranked player and the number 2 .

Does anyone know if 4775 points spread between 1 and 2 a record?

your link sucks !

its now almost 10 year gap 2004 / 2014 and serena has yet to beat Maria in the wimbledon finals.

You're obviously trolling... Serena's been to 4 Wimbledon finals since then and won 3 of them, even beating Maria in 2010. Maria made one final in 2011, the year that Serena had just come back from a year off, and lost to a grand slam final rookie, Kvitova, much like Serena's loss to Sharapova in 2004.

What's the one common denominator in all of Sharapova's grand slam titles? Serena losing early or not in top form.
