Some thoughts:

1. Looks like Micromax Indian Aces do not really need the services of Fed, except for driving up
the ticket prices.

2. Looks like Singapore got thrashed in star power rating from Men's side; No Fed, No Novak, Not even Andy.

3. Whatever happened to Pete? Did he drop out.

4. Sharapova struggles with the shot clock; she does not have enough time to show her
back to the opponent for 5 minutes while she indulges in Soliloquy before serving
..........and many thought Rafa dropped out due to his injury isses. :snigger

Day 2 in Sigapore is well underway. First match the UAE Royals rose from the oil basement and won. One of the essential players again was Kristina Mladenovic - here is the results:

singapore day 3 - First we have to see a little about the first match of the day Aces vs Mavericks and that was an interesting one. As you can see from the result there was a fione win for the Mavericks but that's not so because of the very special rule that the winning team has to win the last point of the match - wierd well maybe but also quite interesting. Even if the Mavericks were comfortable ahead before the last match 20-14 and they were 5-6 in the last they had to continue until the winning team had won the last point so at 24-20 the Aces still had a chance with winning the next 5 points, but Tsonga made it easy and won the next point and Mavericks the whole match - phew. So every point counts and that is the interesting part.

B4AWABKCQAA-Ear.jpg

Next up time for Carolines first match. Well actually an ok start even if she lost. Also this match went into overtime where the team with most points had to win the last point. The doubles ended 64 to Royals but it was the Royals who got the last point so overtime.

And the result after Singapore is

So as you see a tight field before they play in Delhi. Tomorrow day off then three days in Delhi, India. Have a good flight.

Serena while winning her singles matches doesn't look as fit as she needs to be for AO. I hope she is working on her fitness a bit more than it looks like she is.

Doesn't the season start back up near the end of December? Working on fitness sporadically off and on is never a good idea when you are an athlete. It is how injuries happen.

Season starts in January, plenty of time to get in competitive shape. I was an athlete, and I know that during your off-season u don't train for fitness as vigorously, because, it actually can lead to burnout, so you need that time off from the training.

Serena will be just fine, she's the professional, so I will take it she and her team having a little more experience and knowledge of it works.

First match in Delhi has ended and the Royals won comfortably over the Slammers. Caroline is still a bit rusty and she only played her singles match and was behind 51 but the set ended 65 to Hantuchova and it looked way better in the end for Caroline. One of the things that surprised her, was the no net calls.
B4LL69uCYAA5Tfd.jpg

Here is Caroline and Daniella's set:

The second match was verey exciting Maverick was leading with 4 points before the final ladies single between Ivanovic and Flipkens, so Flipkins only had to get at least 3 points in the final set but lost 62 and a super shooy out between Monfils and Tsonga was deciding for the match's last point. Monfils won and Aces won the whole match.

Hoergren, where can one find the official/real schedule of iptl matches. It appears that they have moved the Micromax Indian Aces vs. Singapore Slammers match to 7.30 p.m. for sunday.
Can you confirm this as soon as you could.

Also, I hear that Fed is going to play with Pistol in men's doubles either on sunday or on Monday.

Well I've looked around and the latest weet I've found about moving doesn't say so:

@rogerfederer makes his debut at the #IPTL at 4 pm sharp, today! You do not want to miss a second of the action!

The mens doubles can be changed but competition is pretty high so I think Federer will play Bopanna and Sampras will play Rafter as scheduled - look my earlier post. So to my knowledge no change in schedule and Federer playing 3 sets today.

If you think of the schedule on drakulastream - you can't always trust their informations ;)

And here is the latest from IPTL:

IPTL ‏@iptl 11 min ago
Micromax @IndianAces will take on the @dbssgslammers at 4 pm (IST)! Tweet us a #ShoutOut from your country, tell us who you're rooting for!

I think they will change it up on Monday and make Fed will play Men's doubles with Pete.
In view of that, the magician will probably play legends singles.

Day two in Delhi over and here are the results:

Caroline should win 60 in the last set to get an overtime as the Royals were a little bit disappointing today. She was very close to get a power shoot out - but she won today and was playing way better today - not the best but ok.

Standings now are:

what does a scoreline of 8-4 mean. I have not figured out all the crazy rules yet.
I thought they go to shoot out at 5-5. How does 8-4 happen

One of the rules are that if a team is about to win it HAS TO win the last gamepoint. Caroline won her set 6-3 and she scores last point and the set had to go on until the leading team had won a point. She was one point from equalising and THEN THERE should have been a power shoot out - not that difficult me thinks ;)

I still don't get. If Caro had won it 6-3, then at that time game scoreline would be 26-22
and so the Royals would have gotten the
