Disappointing end to the set. Would've preferred to see the TB decided by a winner. Entertaining match though. Novak's level being down noticeably makes for a more even match.

That little 14mph wind coming from the back court is having an affect on both players. Now we see if Novak loosens up and hits better or loses focus.

Oh, come on! Rafa is playing much better. It's not all about Novak's level.

Without doubt yeah, I agree completely but Novak's well below his even normal level the past year or so.

Rafa is but Novak had 21 ufe's. You can't say Novak is having a great performance

I didn't say Novak's having a great performance, but the match isn't all about his level dropping; it's also about Rafa playing better against him than he has in years (literally).

If you look at the points that matter, Novak is actually playing them razor sharp. Stats never tell the whole story.

I just hope Rafa hangs in there in this set. I'd fancy him more in a long match in that heat...

I am seeing the score of the first set. Does it mean Nole could not break Rafa at all or they both had breaks?

Traded breaks early

Hi Big3.... yes, credit to Rafa. I watched both of their quarters and he was impressive in dismantling the samurai.

True, NOLE played well when it mattered. That is the difference of confidence

Classic rally by the pair of them. Could have been any season between 2010-2013 there...

Rafa's sometimes so damned horribly predictable with the forehand...

Rafa's having to work very hard here, to win points. Elastic Man is stretching him...
