Event starts tomorrow. Draw:

http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/scores/current/indian-wells/404/draws

And what are the odds to see two wild cards to play each other? The two 18y old Fritz and Tiafoe collide, the winner will play David Goffin.

RE: Indian Wells Master 100o -2016

Looking ahead, a Thiem/Sock match. I believe Thiem could get by Jo and make it to the quarters to face Novak. Interesting draw.

RE: Indian Wells Master 100o -2016

Looks like these days, we tennis fans, spend more time on off court news (match fixing, Pova doping, Murray's baby, Fed's op etc). So, IW will be a good change to let us get back to tennis again.
But, my interest is obviously less as RF is not in there. I will watch probably only SF and F and that too only if the match-ups are interesting.

Watch Nadal get slaughtered by Nishikori. You heard it here first! If he even gets that far, of course.

Trust me, I will be the first to be given this post a bump if Rafa prevails vs Nishikori

You're assuming a lot! I asked the same thing, "can he even reach that far;" much less play Nole in the semi! :cover

Just as Kieran warned all of you ,This will turnaround. Pre AO , Rafa had some extremely well practice sessions vs Stan, Murray and others. He may will eventually figure this out, I will be the main one to be making inquiries to your posts because you and your good friend Fronty has made a living on this board during Rafa 's demise. Payback is a ####@!

AP, you may well be right, but if you are going to finger wag at the other side, you have to admit, he may well not ever be the same player he was. It's been almost two years since he won a slam. He could turn it around, but he has certainly been off for long enough to where it's not unreasonable for people to think he is done.

Yes Sir RB, I do admit Rafa may not Never be the same player as he was before he lost the AO final to Stan. Rafa has tons of room for improvement but his real challenge can he be very competitive to retain his top 5 ranking.

You probably forgot that I am far from a Rafa hater, I was being objective . Even if he beats Nisikori/Isner who are absolute mugs, what do you think will happen in the SF? He will get dubbed as always...

PM, I apologize..you have always been fair. I not really frustrated with anyone on this board but with Rafa and his team approach to not properly addressing the Djokovic counters, his confidence and non evolution of his tennis game to adjust to today's style of play. As for a prediction, I need to see how he plays the first week and a half. Feel me :plot

Apology accepted, no prob AP. However, regarding Nadal, I simply don't have anything to say about him, if I did. I would just be repeating myself. I saw a short clip of a practice seesion he had in IW, and he was literally hitting about 5 errors per minute.
PM me if you want to discuss this more...

I have great news for you guys: My parents and I will go to Indian Wells this upcoming Saturday. That means I will see players practice live in the outside courts. If you guys have any request on which players you want me to take pictures practice, just PM me.

I will try to take pictures practice but there are no guarantees I will able to do that.

In addition, I will try to watch some doubles matches on the outer courts.

The players I want to see practice live will be:
Djokovic
Murray
Wawrinka
The young guys like Thiem, Kyrgios, maybe Fritz

Hopefully, I can see most of them

I would recommend doing what I'm doing: get interested in the young guys. No one can ever replace Roger, but there are some exciting young players coming up - more so than we've seen in five+ years. Check out my last couple blog entires, especially the last one, for some names to look for.

Who knows, maybe you'll connect with one of the young dudes and find you next favorite player.

I rather don't make any prediction, it all will depend how every player plays, hope to see better competition and consistence of game than I've seen last year and beginning of this one :s
