Stan Facts:
*His first Slam title at age 28 makes him the oldest first Slam by a multi-Slam winner in the Open Era.
*With a highest ranking of #3 and three Slam titles, he's the only 3+ Slam winner since Jan Kodes who has not ranked in the ATP top 2.
*Along with del Potro, Berdych, and Roddick, he's one of only four players to beat each of the Big Four at least three times each.

I wasn't saying anything good or bad about Kohl - just pointing out facts.

I did say after the last round that I didn't think Stan was ready to beat Roger. But Roger does look very crisp. (Aside from the pajamas.)

Roger looked great today. And that means absolutely nothing as far as his next match is concerned and that is the frustrating part these days.
Seems that the first thing they lose is a step, and then the consistency. Djokovic lost today. Mrzz was wondering why Rafa was so off/on in his previous match. All 3 have been Superman in their time, but age is kryptonite.

But to be fair Nadal was more on than off, I guess. Hope they keep it up and meet in the semis. Not a given by any means.

Speaking about the Swiss derby Wawrinka connected some absurd forehands. On the other hand Federer was basically in control for the whole match.

I known that nadal was going to tear D.Schwartzmen apart, just because someone wins a set on clay against nadal does not mean they are going to beat him on hard courts. Serbian up next come on nadal.

Interestingly, Roger & Rafa both play guys today they’ve never played before.

EDIT: It gets better: Thiem/Karlovic, Nishioka/Kecmanovic, and Hurkacz/Shapovalov also have never played each other before. Five out of eight matches today feature first encounters.

Kecmanovic defeats Nishioka. This is a great achievement for the Serbian teenager, who entered the draw as a LL.
He will zoom in the rankings, breaking into the top 100.

Nadal destroys a Serbian loving it, good week by that player can see why he made a masters final in 2017. this would have been Djokovic if he stayed in the draw.
