However blue, I like Azarenka this fired up. She's got the game but she has to get out of her own way. First set to Maria, but I expect this to be a long one.

One word; UNWATCHABLE! With just one of these screeching players is too much; 2 makes it plain NOISY! Save us from another marathon women's match! An hour for a 6-4 set; pathetic! This is bad!

Flavia playing well against Stosur, up 5-4 serving for the first set. Flavia down 15-40 in the 8th game and came back with 4 straight points to win it and just broke Sam. Flavia wins 1st set 6-4.

Sharapova/Azarenka is an interesting and good match. If you don't like the shouting, you can mute it. Personally, it doesn't bother me.

Vika won't go away. Fasten your belts (and put some cotton in your ears) folks.

Actually, I enjoy Vika's weils. I don't like Pova's though. See I have my preferences.

Well, I thought this match was sure to go to the third suit (not to mention that I thought
Vika will win it). :snicker

This match was scrappy in parts
Vika had BPS in the first set, should have taken the first set quite frankly
Vika's game imploded in the 2nd set, credit to Maria for winning the match.

Nice to see Flavia with the win, being the defending champion of last year.

I dont think Sascha needed to give Vika tactics quite frankly

At the end of the day it is up to a player on court to work their game plan out by themselves,if not it is up to that player to change the tactics.

A coach or even a hitting partner can give a game plan, the onus is always on the player

BTW Vika had a leading h2h on HC against Maria, until this loss today.

its obvious that they had tactics but she failed to execute....:popcorn...Sascha is being given too much credit for being a hitting partner...

It's fruitless trying to reason with them. They're only going to use this same line every time Vika loses because they think she's committed a crime against Serena for hiring Sascha.

It's nice to see Genie winning matches she's supposed to win at a tournament that isn't a grand slam. Hopefully Sam is instilling in her the importance of playing your best at every tournament.
