I was going to be sad in either case, because I like them both, and both had such disappointing season so far.
Tommy with this win just turns it around, but Grigor has a lot to still live up to.

Well, serve stats seem to be generally worst. Checked a few matches and the highest one I found was, for first serve, was around 75%. A lot of guys around 50%. Seems bellow average to me.
I'm seeing a lot of guys miss some first serve by meters (maybe it is always like that and I never notice?).
Balls seem to get some huge side spin... looks like everyone learned the Nadal banana ball.
Even on the Dimitrov Robredo match, they showed a RPM figure from Dimitrov and it was huge...

I recognize his voice, he is always this loud and I actually like it.

It seems to me that his "next step" is a few backwards....The issue today was a horrible lack of focus when serving to stay in the match and bring it to a deciding TB:Moxie629 said:herios said:Oh my dear lord, what did you do Grigor?

I didn't see the match, either. Same question. I love Tommy, but what goes on with Grigor, in terms of trying to take the next step? Seems there are a lot of young guys that might step right over him, if he's not careful.

at 15 even he threw 2 DF back to back, then missed the first serve again, and the MP went to Tommy who managed to win the point in a short rally, because he was more aggressive.
Overall, he has too many lapses of focus when playing.
Plus, I came to the conclusion, he is more instinctive, rather than thinker. He lacks I think a winning strategy. I would like him to change to a coach who will teach him how to win matches with less effort.
