Bulls/Raps on tonight at 7pm

Raps done a great job winning games they were supposed to win , even without Demar and built a nice cushion.. Now it is good teams, 6 games in a row, away, starting with the Bulls. I am OK with 2-4 .
Never know Murat. They could surprise and go .500 or even 4-2.

Demar should be back by the end of this road trip and honestly, we need him bad. Lowry has been killing himself in the absence of Demar. We need to limit his minutes a bit.

First quarter 33-33. Defense, anyone?

Pretty even , not much D in the first half. T Ross and JV are hot for the Raps, Butler and Drose for the BUlls. 66-60 for Raps.

Last time these two played, Bulls came out and played serious D and pretty much took the Raps out in the third quarter. I suspect something similar.

Practice makes perfect Murat. I've seen the Bulls do this very thing against so many teams. They even lead large into the 4th Q and give it all away in the last 2-3 min. It appears Bulls are finally learning from those mistakes. Give the Raps time and they will learn it too.

Wow, the Bulls scored 49 points in the fourth quarter. Good to see D-Rose having a good game. Jimmy Butler has been balling this year.

They seem to be a legit threat now even with Rose in and out of the lineup. Your boy Butler appears to be more than just a very good role player now (yes I was wrong about him!) and adding Gasol has been big for them. If Rose ever gets seriously going and is able to stay in...

LOL.....you were not wrong about Butler. His career just shows that if you give anyone enough playing time, they will give you some production.

That makes no sense man. A scrub is a scrub. You're not going to play like a world beater just because you're getting playing time. The guy is playing really well at the moment. If he keeps it up, then yeah, everyone who doubted him (myself included) would be wrong.

Pretty simple Cali, Butler has always been a great defender who could provide some offense but not consistently, thus he was a very good role player. It's clear that he has improved a lot offensively and that potentially makes him a star...

They were all really hand picked (Butler, Gibson, etc) because of their defensive skills to work in the Chicago system (ala Thibs). Nothing against any of them, but let's be real, they really had no choice but to get better offensively due to Rose's absences.

And where was the improvement in them in recent years? When they could hardly score a basket against Washington in the playoffs? When Nate Robinson was scoring all their points against Brooklyn two years ago?

That Chicago team is complete junk. Management has contempt for offense and as far as I'm concerned I hope they enjoy losing in the playoffs every year averaging 78 points per game in the playoffs.

How is Butler a "great defender"? I'll give you that Snell is because Snell is an athletic freak, but Butler wasn't even a Top 10 player in his conference in college. Did the guy even average in double digits at Marquette?

Neither Harden nor Westbrook were particularly great college players either. It's not necessarily the measuring stick.

Butler's always been a very good defensive player. As you should know by now defense isn't all about athleticism...and Butler is a pretty decent athlete anyways.

And as for your last statement...ever hear about players developing after high school/college? Jordan was hardly the best college player ever was he? A lot of players come in with very little shooting ability whatsoever, Jordan, Lebron, Wade, etc. I watched Wade at Marquette, always an incredible athlete but he couldn't hit anything outside of 10 feet until he was in the NBA for a few years.
