they should bring back the "golden goal" rule. Had this been in effect then argentina would have won 3-2 the moment they scored on extra-time. In a final of this magnitude, ii reckon it's better to avoid a penalty-shoot out because (let's be honest) it really comes down to the side who misses (as what we saw happen to France) rather than the side who scores that determines the winner.

Hopefully Italy can get back on track in football, it is still popular, though they have been disappointing, to say the least. I am looking forward to watching the women's version in Aussie in June at least it will be on our time line lol! not getting up at 2am to watch a final
i did not see the game until a bit after the start of extra-time. But S.B.S (aka. Soccer Bloody Soccer) network, will be playing the final after 1.PM Eastern Standard Time.

My favorite moment that i will take from the World Cup would have to be this:

An extraordinary, beautiful moment where a Croatian child runs over to console a heartbroken Neymar following Brazil being eliminated in penalties.

This will live on most folks memories whether you are a football fan or just a casual observer of the sport.

One for the ages
:D

I don't think Qatar should have been awarded the tournament in the first place, and was well aware of the "brown envelopes" to secure it, and the grim reports of labour deaths building the infrastructure. Not to mention, it has no historical link as a hotbed of football.

However, if you go, then you respect the host. Anything else is utter hypocrisy. And as far as I'm aware, it was a well-run, hospitable tournament. The Nevilles and Linekers of this world took the money and expressed their distaste from a safe distance. The players were equally as hypocritical. If you don't like it then don't go and don't disrespect the customs of the host when you get there. Instead they took the cash and engaged in a ridiculous exercise of virtue signalling.

A lot of these “complaints” were performances by champagne socialists pretending to be outraged, in order to get clicks. Neville even mentioned the Tory party during one of his well-fed rants. They use their podium for posturing and promoting shady causes. You’re right what you’re saying, brother..
