Say what you want Carol. He's ("my fav") never bulked up massively and then lost it all and you have way less evidence of dodgy circumstances surrounding him than frankly any of the top players and his stamina is poor over long matches. He gets tired after tough matches and loses them badly in the 5th set or loses his next match badly and he's never been a big, strong guy. There's literally very little for you to go by. He wins matches way faster as he plays more attacking tennis and therefore has spent far less time on court in his career and has only had one surgery his entire career and that's why he's still playing very well for his age but that's it. And btw, the site has no issue with comparing a once muscular, bulky guy who has now shrunk to the size of a pretty weedy, flat chested guy. It's merely spot the difference photos. And it is a MASSIVE difference. It's a wonder you're all so blind to not even notice or question it. None of the media even have to guts to even question it either.

Anyway, bedtime for me and it's weird all you hardcore Nadal fans seem to think I'm "attacking him". What the hell is wrong with someone saying the guy was pretty huge (for a tennis player anyway) before and now tiny? Nothing. That's what. Nothing. It should be discussed and it is being discussed. The fact that you don't like it does not mean I'm attacking your favourite player or that I'm miserable or a troll as AP stated. That's all just lazy commenting 'cos you know you have no comeback. Yes he was pretty huge before and yes, he is now pretty damn different looking, small and no longer muscular in any way like before. Sorry to upset you with the truth

What is 'true' for you? who cares about more or less muscles, he had to lose weight because his knee but he still look strong because his body frame is like his father and uncles. He never had a great serve so maybe that was the reason not finishing the points faster like Federer who has better serve but still has played many long matches and he didn't look so tired like you pretend, he lost matches because his opponent (Rafa) has played better than him, so clear like crystal so don't try to find those poor excuses
Carol it's useless trying to get Front to understand, He is incapable of comprehensive intellectual points to why Rafa dropped weight. The players have respect for each other however radical Fed fans like Front are always gonna be bias even though their Beloved Fed recently said anyone who speaks of Rafa's demise are neanderthals

I know it's waste of time but come on! he is gong too far

No AP, he didn't drop the weight for his knees, that is nonsense. According to his bio his weight is still the same, 85KG. If that's accurate then he's lost all his muscle and is now carrying way more fat. That does not make you a better athlete, far from it. Bear in mind as I said, I was not commenting on this thread about Nadal's size loss till you posted your silly dig at me yesterday. This thread is about who we think will win the French Open and I've no idea. There was a petulant child posting annoying taunting messages to me yesterday in this thread and had it not been for your post I would not have replied and you wouldn't have to endure reading the truth, that is, not a rant but the truth that Nadal has shrunk a ton. Hilariously and ironically you say I have no idea why he dropped the weight, good counter to how he put on the weight in the first place. Having put on a huge amount of muscle in a short space of time and incidentally no media people having the guts to question it, he then lost it all almost quicker. The educated amongst us know of at least one proven method of gaining a ton of muscle very fast and once you stop this method the reverse happens, it all disappears. Now who looks stupid? You can't come up with a feasible reason so slagging me, calling me miserable or a troll is your option and that's sad.

This is a common misconception among tennis fans, I mean look at Nadal for crying out loud. In his prime, he was much bulkier and was insanely explosive. However, his knees were torturing him and had to drop some of that muscle mass. Around 2011-2012 you could clearly see that he started trimming down his weight but he was still moving like a madman so there wasn't much to notice. When he lost a good bit of his old explosiveness he started moving noticeably slower than before. Fast forward into 2016, and you take a look at him, he can't be at 85 kg. It's impossible. Look at Djokovic for example. He is listed as 80 kg. This also seems a bit too much, because the man is skin and bones with all due respect.

Hehehe to go down to Rafa's fanatics lvl. Yeah Novak is 80kg ;) he is 8cm taller and have well defined muscles ("skin and bones" aka Bruce Lee type build) not bubbly watered biceps ;) that is usually characteristic of pure "usage" ;)

Talking about Novak, one friend of mine has told me that she saw him here in Miami (walking very close of her) and she was impressed of how skinny he is, she says that even through the HD TV you can see everyone thinner than the regular TV, this guy in person is half than he looks on TV

I think Carol and Front are perfect for each other. They're irrational extremists on either side. ;)

Oh please, don't compare me with him, come on, nothing in common. I don't use to attack to his/your fav unless there are too much provocation. I'd like to know how you would react if someone post by post would attack Federer with such awful comments :nono :s

I didn't even mention any type of "usage" , please learn how to read. I said that the stats are old and dated. But there is no use explaining anything to people like you, is there?

What awful comments? I said he's lost a ton of muscle and he has. It's called the truth but the truth can be awful too I guess.

Muscle weighs more than fat so I actually reckon 80kg is about right for Novak. He's 6'2" after all but 80kg for 6'2" is pretty light. I'm 5'9" and same weight as Nadal who is 6'1" so 85kg isn't heavy for that height either. Most of his weight now is on his quads which are still big enough for a tennis player but his upper body mass has vanished into thin air but I still say he could be 85kg based on his leg weight.

Whatever today's stats are I personally think that many of them greats (any popular sport out there worldwide and YES my fav is among them and second in line of 90% probably juiced... at least in Tennis world) are using something that is at least "barely legal" (can't buy in stores/get it on a prescription in most develop countries in the world for 90% of ppl) but it's kept silent for many economical reasons ;)
If you don't understand how nova-days world (that most developed one) works I feel sorry for you ;)

Lads, stay on topic. I'm not even a mod, but you're embarrassing the place with your silliness. Let's discuss the French Open here, and stick your Rafa-hate in a cupboard someplace, eh? Or discuss it with your therapist. But this OTT panic is getting truly spammy and dull...

It's literally getting embarrassing to come in here recently. It's so unintelligent and full of Rafa-hatred, so illogical and incoherent and repetitive with this sh1t on every thread, I'm beginning to wish Rafa was still losing so the Fediots who go in for this fetishistic nonsense would restrict themselves to gloating, instead of the anxiety they express through the exact same depressing and stupid way they always do. It's like dealing with a rabble of angry teenagers.

Let's discuss the French Open here and STFU about your idiotic partisan theories!
