3. Simona Halep & Horia Tecau (ROU)
4. Belinda Bencic & Verdasco

6. BMS & Sam Querry (USA)
7. Townsend & Young (USA)
8. Slumping Girl & Bad Boy

Also, conspicuous by absence

When was the last time neither Bryan brother played mixed at the USO?

No, they don't play often as you think.

But, they do have an agreement between them that if one of the brothers play mixed doubles then whatever prize money he gets is shared equally between them. This is just to fend off selfishness and make sure they never have to worry about who makes more. They always will make the same amount this way.

I'd never heard that before. How bizarre. You'd think they're identical twins or something. ;)

The #1 seeds Sania and Bruno are out in straight sets.

But, I still think the eventual winner will be from my list of interesting pairs.

I wonder if Bouchard teaming up with Kyrgios was Connors' idea. Maybe not since he started coaching her probably after the signup deadline. Interesting thought anyway.

Genie has some injury. She has dropped out of both Mixed Doubles and Women's Doubles.
She is on the fence about her singles against Vinci. Decision expected just at match time.

I saw that on Twitter. Apparently she slipped in the locker room and hit her head. Hope she's ok.

The mixed doubles has reached QF stage. Of the interesting pairs in my OP, only three are left

1. Hingis and Paes
2. Simona and Tecau
3. BMS and Querry

1 and 2 above are facing in the QF at Grandstand today.

Hingis is still alive in both women's doubles and mixed doubles. Possibly can lift two titles again.

Halep gives a walk-over after her long match with Sabine. So, Martina and co reaches SF

The semi's are set. Two pairs mentioned in the OP made it. They are

Martina & Paes and BMS & Querry.

They are different halves and so will meet in finals assuming they both win their SF matches.

The finals are set. It is Martina & Paes vs. BMS & Sam Querry.

Both from the interesting pairs list in the OP.

I think Martina and Leander takes this one again.

Also, Martina and Sania are in the women's doubles finals as well.

Martina lifted two trophies in Wimbledon. Has the chance to repeat it again at USO.

I guess we can call it a triple-double; i.e. double, double, double ; i.e., winning doubles trophies in double tourneys in doubles.

Interesting. Isn't Querrey still in the men's doubles as well? He could go for a double as well.

Martina and Sania's opponent's in women's doubles is yet to be determined. But, either way it looks like weak opp. only.

Martina will have tougher opposition in mixed doubles with BMS playing good and Sam clicking in Men's doubles.

Yes, his men's doubles SF began a few minutes ago, and he's already into the mixed doubles final.

Querry lost in Men's doubles. So, no double trophy for him.

Querrey/Johnson lost 9-7 in a 3rd set TB. Ouch! So close! The Other Murray gets thru to the final though.

Murray/Peers escaped a MP at 5-6 in the 3rd set tie break.
