Congrats to Hingis and Paes for a wonderful win. Paes served very well in the second set.

Most of the mixed doubles pairs are usually formed in an ad hoc manner and so they
don't usually have good experience of playing together. However, Paes and Hingis play
regularly with each other in WTT and so they have a solid advantage over the other
pairs (Nestor and Kristina are also regular pairs though).

I expect Paes and Martina to play together in all the slams this year and win
at least one more mixed doubles trophy this year.
