You do learn, eventually. With only a small percentage of professionals playing serve and volley tennis, the grass gets worn down even more quickly these days. By the second week there's a large swath of court that's almost completely denuded. While it may not play "more" like clay, it certainly plays less like grass since there isn't any there....
I know it a long time ego but then you should pick up your mind because according to Front242 the second week the surface become all mangles and more like clay and you agree.......
He agreed because it's true. What exactly is clay ? Basically like mud right? Now, what do you have left when the grass is gone at the baseline at the second week of Wimbledon? Big patches of extremely rock hard (if it's sunny) earth/mud. That is why it plays more like clay because the ball is no longer bouncing on grass but hard earth/mud. I'm no fan of Nadal as you know but I'm not talking crap either. Forget that a non Nadal fan is discussing this and think more logically about what grass looks like when there is no longer any grass. Mud/earth is basically clay and this is why it bounces so dramatically differently in week two and Nadal suddenly starts to play much better. And no, it wasn't a silly comment, he is not good on grass anymore and it's quite embarrassing that you consider my logical comment silly but have then written this gem:
"Now tell me, since when the grass is all mangled and plays more like clay ? maybe since 2008 or maybe sinc 2011?"
Um, you realize that grass has been like this for millions of years and not just since 2008 or 2011 ? :cover It gets worn away and all that's left is mud/earth. Have a look at some grass sometime. This isn't rocket science or some bizarre new process of grass getting worn away :nono
