NYTimes has an article about a "young gun."

Yes, we have chatted about Pablo Carreno Busta this season, when he made noise in Portugal and eliminated Fognini for example.
He was back then ranked 200+, now he is around 130'sh, his highest ever and today he plays in fact in Tanger in a challenger final against Kukushkin.
He has certainly demonstrated skills on clay, worth of a top 50 at least.
And because following Wimby there are several weeks of clay opportunities at ATP level, before the HC season begins, I am sure he'll keep playing on dirt and move into the top 100, quite soon.

^I remember that he'd been mentioned, but I didn't realize what a good run he was having. I hope it keeps up for him.

Pablo Carreno-Busta won the challenger in Tanger and comes Monday he'll be ranked 127, his best to date.
He is the same age as Grigor, turns 22 next month.

Impressive, indeed. I checked his ranking history on the ATP site, and noticed he began 2013 ranked 654. To be all the way up to 127 in less than half a year is noteworthy.

It will be interesting to see his chops when he starts swimming in the adult pool.

Does any here think maybe it's a tougher environment for a youngster to breakthrough these days than years ago? perhaps it's less likely to get a cup cake draw for a youngster to get to the final first before taking on the big gun, and have the chance.....
