Great tiebreak but Berdych must be gutted. He played fantastic till 4-5 and really should've made that volley.

Yes, he should have. Nole snuck that one out. Sorry for Berdych, in that the match has been tight, and he's been dogged, and I thought he'd have one set to show for it, but it looks like no.

I do not speak Serbian, but I think Nole is talking about Troicki...and the crowd was chanting his name as well. I might be full of it....

If what you say is true, then so is Djokovic.

Absolutely. Nole has kept this thing in the press. He was invited to discuss it with WADA, and he said, "I am not going to call [WADA president John Fahey] because I know more than he thinks I know."

So then, why don't you ring him and discuss it?

He added: ""So for me this is a total injustice. It shows again the system does not work and there is nothing that they can say to convince me [that it does]."

I find his reaction to be OTT and a bit ODD, at best...

You won't see me defending him. Sometimes our players get it dead wrong, and I think this is one of em. Now come on Dusan! Oh also it's worth remembering that Djokovic has the year's longest winning streak...

Good experience for the kid. Great job by Stepanek and Berdych to pull it off on their own.

This mean Djokovic will not go on a 42-0 streak to begin 2014.

Novak upheld his end of the bargain...

He can't do it by himself. Shame Tipsy wasn't fit.

That's true. Lajovic was out of his depth. It also makes me think of how much Troicki let everyone down. Instead of praising him, Novak should be cursing the guy. Maybe he is, in private...

Worst loss for Troicki was his wife. Forget the ban, he got what he deserved there. Well actually no he didn't, far from it with that wimped out ruling to reduce the ban. He lost much more with his missus dumping him. She's some tasty bit of stuff.

did she dump him because troicki was a self humiliating dribble merchant who can't stop whining and soiling his underpants ?.

Probably. Most likely she saw that the dough train was empty for a while till he gets back playing and looking at her she's probably pretty high maintenance! Not saying she's a cold hearted money grabbing b***h or anything

Stepanek said Obradović's decision not to play Djokovic in the doubles is like "leaving your Ferrari in the garage."

I can't say I disagree. Was there a reason Novak didn't play the doubles rubber?
