Federberg, Front, GSM, DarthFed and especially... Fiero. I know you guys have been long time fans of the Serb. Especially Fiero, as being a fan of a player for 3 weeks only to see him lose must be disheartening. You have my full sympathy. It's not easy to lose a final, believe me. It's true that as a Nadal fan, I don't know what it's like to lose a Roland Garros final, but I can only imagine.

I feel so embarrassed for you. For what it's worth, I was neutral in this match. The fact that you would expend the energy to set up this joke of a thread tells us a lot about you :snicker

Back in your box now! :D

A little, but Wednesday was fully expected so it's not that hard to get over it. My main worry was Novak winning the title and closing the gap, so I can at least sleep a little more at ease for the next 12 months.

Thread took about 76 seconds to make. Energy was minimal.

A little equals a lot. And Nole reaching 14 was unlikely before this match and more so after. Or did you take this calendar year slam nonsense seriously? Nothing to be uneasy about.

No, never believed in the calendar slam nonsense but he could feasibly win 3 slams this year. He's a pretty safe bet to win at least another, and I think he'll close down on Rafa by next year. So yes, he might catch up to him and unlike most of the posters mentioned in the OP, I have no problems admitting I root against him not to be able to do it. What's your problem exactly?

This thread is sad.

Yes, hence the commiserations.

Ha. I see what you did there. You took my comment about how pathetic this thread is, and made it a joke. Clever clever.

I feel most sad for me old mucker Fiero. He's waited years for Novak to win the FO - through thick and thin - and it's got to be hurting him... :popcorn

Someone give Darth an award for the sharpest tongue on TF. Lol. You can't get mad at those insults, they are just too good.

What are you talking about? I've been on the Nole bandwagon since 2010 when he interrupted the party at the top with Roger and Rafa! I've been saying Roger's the GOAT regardless and started arguments for Nole surpassing Rafa and Roger in other ways besides winning Slams! If people read my latest couple blogs, you'll see unwavering support for him becoming a part of the elite! I was looking forward to him joining the career GS crowd, but it'll have to wait until next year!

Although, the OP is not sincere, this thread is indeed needed.

I really feel sorry for Novak missing out on CGS this year. This is the fifth year in running after he has achieved a high level that he could not get it done. However, I am confident that he will win RG someday and have his own career GS. But, he is never ever going to achieve calendar GS though.

Even for career GS, the window is narrowing. He must get it done within the next two years at most. Otherwise, it may be too late.

Sorry Nehemeth, Riotbeard, Denisovich, Billie and others, it just was not meant to be for Novak today. But, I do sincerely hope and wish that the gets CGS some day. :cry
