A PSA for fans before they spend one year of their savings buying a ticket for the circus to see the Lion King. Federer has not announced (not in his home page, not in facebook, not in twitter) that he is actually playing in IPTL. This may be a scam to relieve some bills of people's wallet.

Good call, GSM. No Fed or Serena at IPTL. So, IPTL shall meet Solomon Grundy soon.

I almost soiled myself when I saw the title FEDERER WITHDRAWS FROM IPTL 2016. I thought it was the knee again, but I was relieved to see it was because IPTL had financial problems. Not that I hate the circus, but it is what it is.

IPTL's trustworthiness will greatly reduce due to this. Many fans bought tickets expecting to see Roger. All of them have been cheated in a way. And this will greatly affect the sale of Indian tickets next year (in fact everywhere) which could end IPTL.

Another blow to circus. Kei Nishikori has said that he will not be travelling. He cut short his participation in IPTL after the Japan Leg (which is his home).

Now, Berdych is the Alpha Male of IPTL. :cover

Can people who bought tickets thinking Fed/Serena will be there, be allowed full reimbursement? Is there any way that IPTL can be held responsible? Can they be sued for false advertising?

I doubt it was false advertising, they prolly expected them players to show - but it's a kick in the wotsits for anyone who forked full price. A decent gesture might be to give a partial refund on a ticket, reducing the price that way?

The Japan leg of circus is over.

Results so far:

Indian Aces won 2 matches and lost one.
UAE Royal won 2 matches and lost one.
Singapore Slammers and Japan Warriors both won one match and lost two.

In the next leg, they need to rig this so that Indian Aces and Singapore Slammers reach the finals as that would mean Fed and Serena will play in the finals and they can scalp the tickets. :)

They managed to rig it so that Indian Aces and Singapore Slammers play in the finals tomorrow. Small problem, there is no Fed or Serena. :lolz: Deliciano and Nick K are the top dogs.

Ya never know! We could wind up looking back on this match as classic; sorta like Safin vs Federer at '05 AO SF! Maybe not!

I don't understand..r people boycotting the matches...? There's more tennis players on the court then in the stands.,couldn't they just give the tickets away or at least pay to have someone in the stands..:nono

Congratulations to Singapore Slammers on winning the Circus. :clap

Nick K has now earned his biggest title ever by being part of Slammers. :clap

If they had brains, they probably could have sold tickets at a discount to clean up on the concession stands! :nono
