Of course Musetti (8) goes out to the ageing Frenchman Bonzi 57 64 76(4) I am soo over him period! Musetti has lost 5 of his last 6 matches.
Of course I had projected Musetti (8) to meet Sinner in the QFs............crickets

ADF is playing a great game against Fonseca...
I'm watching August Holmgren playing a Challenger match also...they are heading towards a tie--break finish in the decider...

He just broke back in the 2nd set though..
Foki has 'hit a wall' maybe the heat is affecting him, he was leading 4-0 in the 2nd set, looks like he is struggling physically or maybe he should call the trainer

I didn't watch the match, but I'm mostly jesting.
I know you were kidding, Foki was playing well leading 4-0 in the 2nd set then hit a wall, maybe heat? though he never asked for a trainer and then quit

Just watched highlights of the FokFon match. Fokina was completely normal when Fonseca got the first break back. In the second one, maybe one hint here or there, but he was still chasing most balls all around. In the last game, where he fell behind by one break, then, yes, he was visibly slower, specially in the very last point.

Fonseca, by his turn, seems one step or two behind his level of a few months ago, but it would extremely naive to expect a linear progression of any player, specially someone with his style of play.

Rooting for Musetti must be really frustrating. He had a promising start of the season, and thought he was heading in the right direction. It has fallen apart since Wimbledon. It almost reminds me of FAA in 2022. I hope he isn't headed down the same path. Then again, it's been over 1000 days since Musetti last won a tournament.

I'm just glad Ben Shelton won a Masters tournament 3 days ago.

I am tuning into Alcaraz v Dzumber who is lucky to still be alive he suffered pancreatitis 3 years ago
Alcaraz had no trouble winning the 1st set 61
Then had a poor service game to start the 2nd set and was broken, Damir leads 3-1, make that 4-1, Alcaraz and his dips in his game has re-surfaced
Damir is now playing out of his mind now and lifted his level, he has the Belief, he leads 5-1
Damir will serve for the 2nd set at 5-2
Damir wins 2nd set 62
Alcaraz is battling with his fhand at present cant seem to find his usual range of course he just made a liar out of me and found his fhand and broke Demir
All of a sudden the UFE have crept back into Carlos game and Demir breaks back and we are back on serve in the 3rd set, Demir to serve at 3-4
Some cheap UFE from Demir and he is broken and Carlos will serve for the match at 5-3
Alcaraz wins 61 26 63

Meddy (12) bows out in 3 sets to Aussie Adam Walton #85 67(0) 64 61
Last time in the heat I remember Meddy telling the umpire he can pay for his funeral as he was about to die on court :)
BTW Meddy did put his head in the drinks cooler during the breaks :)
