Djokovic and Nadal through. Nadal lost his serve 4 times in a 6-4 6-4 match against Wu.

good start for them -- this tournament is one of the NOLE'S most successful sites - he loves playing here.

Yeah Nole is 25:0 here with 5 titles, he just loves playing here.

Gee Tsonga lost already.

Happy for Viktor and Fabio.

so rafa/wafa is chugging around in the same venue he won a singles Olympic gold for spain (and himself) in 2008 is he ?..

could be omens (not the Damien sort or omens though  )..if this week goes with seeding then final would be Djokovic vs nadal, just like in the aforementioned 2008 gold medal match.

That's one positive...Nadal has had success there.  And while Djokovic hasn't lost at the event, I think he lost to Nadal at the same venue, at the Olympics, as you mentioned.  A lot of water under the bridge since then, and Rafa is going to have to kick his level up about 3 flights of stairs just to get out of his half, let alone beating Djokovic.  For what it's worth, the bottom half of the draw is much trickier, though I don't imagine it would have mattered for Novak.

In 2013, Nole beat Rafa in the final here 6:3 6:4 and then the following Monday Rafa overtook #1 spot from Nole, until Nole got it back again.

Today Nadal, Ferrer, Lu and Sock were the winners in the 2nd round.

Nadal/Fog could be mouth watering.  Sweet revenge or another body blow from the field?

Fog also took out 7 seed Goffin to continue his recent run of good form.
As much as I like F3, I thought that Goffin would win this match.  I am happy that F3 fought well, though. :good:

I am sad that Dr Ivo lost, but not all is lost with him, he achieved an all time record : http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/news/karlovic-becomes-new-ace-king-2015

Count me in as another one looking forward to F3 vs Rafa encounter.  Fingers crossed they both win tomorrow.

Nole facing Isner, not the most match-up in tennis that I enjoy. :negative:
