Actually Bd4 wouldn't have worked, maybe Ba1 as awkward as it looks. Moot point now

Threat of Rd5 with f5 coming. You out enough pressure on someone and they will crack, but even with best defense you'd think this is a win for Caruana. Ding's knight is paralyzed here, I don't see how he stops Fabi getting his rook on F file

Hell of a game. I am 99.999% sure there was a win there and probably in multiple instances but not sure where Fabi went wrong. Excellent defense from Ding regardless.
