If the colors were reversed I might expect a boring draw. I doubt Carlsen will want to waste a white game with a quick draw.
It will be interesting to see Karjakin's approach. As a huge underdog going into the match you might have 2 polar opposite philosophies to start
1. Go crazy aggressive to try to take the early lead and then try to play extremely solid to get a bunch of draws and put the pressure on Carlsen
2. Play solid, try to get a bunch of easy draws and turn this into a 6 or 7 game match where anything can happen.
I think with Karjakin he is more likely to aim for the 2nd scenario. He's not a very aggressive/tactical player by nature, at least not one you would expect has the capability of just blowing Carlsen off the board.
