Nice to see Petka coming back. I missed her.

Also, nice to see a WTA match in which at least one player had a positive differential
(winners - ufe) (not to mention, where there are less than 19 breaks of serve).

Remember, once both players have positive differentials, there will not be any
more posts from me, as I would have cut my head off.

All three of Andrea's title's have been on clay. This win should really give her confidence as we move onto the clay in Europe.

Hmmmm let's not get ahead of ourselves

RG is the hardest slam to win.Hopefully Petko will remain injury free.

Yeah, I'm not ready to sign on to her winning RG, but hopefully she'll at least make a decent run. Quarterfinals, perhaps.

I did not mean Andrea to be a serious contender for FO.

But, seriously speaking I think some unexpected player might win this year's FO.

Obviously, I am projecting that Serena will fall to someone at FO well before reaching
finals and the usual big names would not do good either.

I don't think Serena will defend her title, but I believe the winner will come from the top 13.

Watched the replay of Petko's acceptance speech and I like her even more than I did for thanking the unseen people - drivers, maids etc. That's pretty class.

I hope to see her continue her run....she better be taking extra calcium supplements to keep those bones strong ;)

When you give a crazy number such as top 13 (neither top 10, nor top 8/16), it is
clear to everyone who you have in your mind, obviously the #13. Even though she is
a darling and has won it once before, she won't win it this year.

I think among the old timers, only Jelana Jankovic (she usually does well on clay)
and Samantha Stosur (her kick serve works well on clay) have some chance. If not
these two, it will be an up and coming youngster (halep, Eugene, Sloane etc) or
an outsider (such as Petka).

I'm thrilled for Petkovic…I've been waiting for her to do well for a couple of years. I hope this is the start of a comeback.

It's not a crazy number because you don't agree. :nono Don't attempt to interpret for me because you are wrong. I believe the viable winner pool stops at the player ranked 13 right now. Ana is probably one of the last players I would select as winning RG this year. That 2nd serve is still a huge liability to make her a favorite contender.

Furthermore, Sloane is out of shape and a mess right now (she's not winning RG this year). Genie needs to tighten up that serve because it will get abused by any big hitters. While I like Halep a lot, I think she needs a favorable draw to win RG this year.
