Vesely scored a good win over Karlovic: 6-4, 6-4.
Meanwhile, 3 times champion, Simon goes down to Gimeno-Traver in 3 sets.

^ The top four seeds have made it through, but I'm still bummed about Coric.

Not just top 4, 7 of 8 made it through. The odd man is out is troika (I think).

The odd man was Gimeno-Traver, who now is battling Gilles Simon for a SF spot.

I was right (although made typing errors). The odd man was Viktor Troici who was
seeded 6th and who lost in the very first round.

J. Vesely into the final. He defeated Gimeno-Traver:
2-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Good job by the young man.

Garcia Lopez upsets Monfils.:clap

And this result reflects in a nutshell why Monfils did not have a better career...
Result: 6-7, 6-4, 6-2.

Congrats to GG Lopez! Two tiebreaks. Vesely had his chances to take it to a third, with a few set points in the second set tiebreak, but Lopez denied him.

Still the old guns rule ;)
Jokes aside that must have been a very tight match. Vesely has set points in both, and GG Lopez converted only his 6 MP.
