Rosol v. Haase will be a question of who wants it more, because they'd either benefit from the next round. Dimitrov v. Monfils is the de facto final. I'm expecting Dimitrov to take the SF and the F.

Rosol had won Estoril one or two years ago. So, he will give Grigor some decent fight
bare minimum.

I hope so, but Grigor knows he has to take this one, since he has aspirations to higher things.

So Dimitrov goes through because Gael had to quit at 5-1. Atp site says " Monfils had rolled his ankle walking onto court"...Not even during play? Plain weird, right up there with the water hydrant.

Was thinking same thing but you have guys hurting their backs in warm ups as well so it's not that out there really :p

Rosol did not win in Estoril. His lone title was right here in Bucharest a year ago, so basically he is defending. Already did a pretty god job, because he is not a fixture in finals.
In fact, this is his second final in his whole career, so may say, he is specialized in this event.

Thanks herios. I remembered that he won an ATP 250 on Clay last year. I forgot which
one. Actually, Estoril was won by Stan the Man last year.

He has signed up for defending it this year also. In my opinion, not a very good idea
by Stan as this would mean he will now play three weeks in a row (Estroil, Madrid and
Rome). That may be too much of energy spent before RG. However, at least he is
not doing something as stupid as being a top player and playing the week before
an impending slam.

Does anyone know what is behind the name change of Estoril?

Just a tiny bit. Kind of classic, right? Rosol gave his all in the first, then Dimitrov ran off with it, I guess. Dimitrov's 2nd title this year.

Congrats to Grigor . Looks like one hard set and then a routine one. Anyone watched?

I watched only the second set. From the comments, I understood that in the first set there was a break exchange, before ending in a TB.
In the second set, Grigor was truly awesome.

Great job and congrats for his first clay title for Grigor

PS. Simona Halep was watching
Also GF Maria in a tussle in Stuttgart against Ivanovic at the same time:cool:

It's actually called the Portugal Open now, and the city in which it takes place is Oeiras.

The name was changed in order to reflect it being a more well-rounded Portuguese event.
