The fantastically named Thiago Seyboth Wild took a set off of Carlos Berlocq. He's ranked 630 and will turn 18 in a couple of weeks. Player to watch?

Every time I've asked you to just PM me when you see a mistake you still call it out on the threads. You are such a tosser. People work hard to provide a board where you can swan around, make prognostications, and when they're wrong, just ghost out. :devilfinger:

Seems like most of these players can win the event, like to see G.Monfils in the final that would be good.

Oops, sorry. Next time I will remember to PM you.

BTW, take it easy; everybody makes mistakes, even Moxie too.

It is indeed the greatest tournament of all... as it is back to its old facilities which are 10 minutes away from home (walking).

I think I have Monfils to win it in my draw challenge.

I am very sorry for you.

Must be feally firm clay.

It is not, but Rio is even worst so it is ok. Just in case anyone wonders, São Paulo is around 700 meters above sea level, roughly the same as Madrid, so it is a bit faster than average. Also, center court is indoors (it is a temporary court inside a volley/basketball/futsal arena. The outside courts are permanent).

I have asked you several times. If you manage it next time, I'll appreciate it. As a note, mrzz did complain that I didn't add the "schwa" over the "a" in São Paulo, but he did it in a PM, and I fixed it. These tournament posts can take a lot of time and effort, with the back and forth about getting all the details right, identifying and just typing in the seeds, writing up city information and picking photographs. It's a little disheartening when the first or second post is just about what you got wrong. You feel me?

Take it easy, I did not mean to criticize you. I know it feels like a thankless job, but we do appreciate the efforts that goes behind the forums. I will remember to p.m. from next time when I note any silly errors.

The arena is a big and old one, and, as usual here in South America, dedicated to typical indoor team sports, volleyball, basketball, handball, and, mainly, futsal (which is soccer with 4+1 players, very popular around here). That's the usual combo. But in the case of this arena particularly (called "Ginásio do Ibiruapuera") there is a city run sports complex beside it (or together with it), which includes a small football (the proper name of soccer) stadium, athletics tracks and etc... and, in this combo there are a few tennis courts (which is kind of surprising here, must be one of the few public tennis courts available on the city). So they use those courts for the tournament, together with the temporary one they build inside the arena (which usually is not exactly good). There are a lot of tennis clubs in the city (it is huge, as the OP shows, the "great São Paulo", which comprises 12 cities, have around 23 million people I would guess), but none of those has anything capable to receive more than 1000 people on the stands (if that much).

Forgetting whether it is temporary or permanent, is not it true that all courts are indoor here?

Just checked and found out that one of the permanent courts there is covered (not exactly "indoors" as it is not a completely closed structure), and that the actual tournament is played just on the central court and in this one (court 1), so, contrary to what I wrote above, yes, all tournament is played indoors. The other courts are left for training (I wrongly assumed they were used), and actually there are more indoor courts available for training on a club just across the street, so, ok, they can gloat about the indoor nature of the event.

I'll be very disappointed if F3 doesn't at least make the final.
