Match interrupted with Ramos leading 1x0 and 3x3 in the second. Heavy rain here in São Paulo so a good chance of a monday final.

Bloody Brazilians - they couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery.

I'm guessing that Pele fella must have had a hand in proceedings.

Well, we used to say here that one of the few things Pelé could not make happen is rain. Maybe we were wrong...

The final was scheduled to start in 5 minutes (12 am local time) and guess what... heavy rain started to fall (and I live close enough to the tournament location to be sure that is raining there too).

Finally they were able to play (six hours later than initial schedule) and Cuevas managed to win just before it started to rain again.

Six hour later than initial scheduled they re-started the match and Cuevas won. And it is raining again here (I hope it does rain tomorrow, because I want to practice).

I am glad Cuevas won. He is a hell of a clay courter. He needs to work on his serve, though. If he gets it a tad better, he could well beat anyone outside the big 3 +1 +1 on clay. I said the same last year, he got close but could not close the deal twice against higher seeds on the masters and RG. This year his level is lower, but he is still close.
