Anisimova took Raducanu to the wood shed 61 61
I wonder if Mark Petchey will still have a coaching job?

Eala leads Gauff 5-2 1st set, Eala has broken Gauff 3 times, though Gauff has called for the trainer, Gauff has not been able to hold serve so far in the 1st set
Gauff has some nerve issues in her left arm, tingling issues in her whole arm/shoulder, a MTO has been called
Gauff to serve at 2-5, was given a full left shoulder and arm massage by the trainer, seeing it is early in this tournament, sad to see this happen, also we go to Miami after IW
Gauff DFs her 7th and hands the 1st set to Eala 62, who by the way is playing good tennis, last time they met Gauff routed her with ease in straight sets
Physio out again for Gauff in the sit down this time has applied a bandage on her left arm.
Eala breaks Coco and leads 2-0, 2nd set
Coco retires just for the 2nd time in her career, sad to see, hopefully Coco can get a proper valuation from her doctor, as she wasnt quite sure what the injury was, just felt tingling all the way down from her shoulder to her wrist on her left arm
Eala wins via retirement 62 2-0

I finally found out the reason why Venus Williams and Leylah Fernandez didnt play in the doubles tournament at IW this year,
Simply the tournament goofed.
" The tournament made an error and failed to certify the doubles wild card entry of Venus Williams and Leylah Fernandez before the womens draw was made.We worked with the WTA supervisor to review all available options, but because the draw had already been made the mistake could not be corrected" was the statement from a tournament spokesperson.
" We have apologized to Venus, Leylah and their teams about the matter and regret that our fans were not able to see this duo compete in IW this year".

Ostapenko in a 'mood' won the 1st set 64 over Pegula and has a 2 love lead in the 2nd set, redlining the ball at present and keeping her UFE low.
On her 1st BP of the match, Jess breaks as Osta DFs back on serve in the 2nd set, 3 all.Maybe a change in momentum now as Jess has a love service game to consolidate her break and leads 4-3 2nd set.
Jess breaks again, patience has paid off, as Osta games breaks down
Jess will serve for the 2nd set 5-3
Jess 6-3 and we are going 3 sets.
