Well done Holger 64 64 over Stef best performance from you today so far at IW
Extends your H2H over Stef 4-0
Will play Griekspoor in the QFs
and he's 0-2 against Griek. Interesting how tennis is about matchups. Tits beatup on dense Babycakes twice so he thought he was hot stuff again. Then comes to the desert and gets exposed. What will happen in MIA?

So much for Tsitsipas resurgence. He hasn't really improved, even though he connected a few wins together and won Dubai. His only decent shot is FH, the rest is weak. His serve is too predictable with low 1st serve percentages and the BH still the same. He hits like 1 BH winner per match. Against Berretini it was 0 (nil) and today I think he made 1 winner at the beginning of the match. Rune just keeps exposing the obvious.
True, overall he Tsitsipas is on a downward slide and not really feared anymore by top players.

Nevertheless this is a good morale boosting win for the Danish angel. Needs confidence and momentum after a poor start to the year, the draw may have opened up but then you have to take advantage of it.

If anyone really watch the match between Matteo v Stef the other day, Matteo handed the victory to Stef on a plate, I mean he couldnt get a fhand inside the bloody court lol!

Dare I say that Holger played with patience today? Impressive performance from him. I hope he keeps on like this.

Didn't @mrzz call it last week in Dubai. He said nothing had improved in Tits game.

Tsitsipas is this era's Nalbandian. Both of them got by with their natural talents. However, when their natural talents were proven not good enough to beat the elite players in big events, they just refused to improve on their games. When their games were figured out and the younger generation surpassed them, it was all down hill for both.

Maybe the one starting to believe a bit again is Medvedev. I haven't seen much of his play this week, but I saw him interviewed at the desk on Tennis Channel, and he seemed very relaxed and happy. Not at all the disgruntled curmudgeon that we were starting to speculate might be about to give up on tennis.

We will see, he has been complaining that the courts are the 'slowest ever lol though I dont take much notice of that :) he also stated that he still loves tennis and he does make a lot of money from it lol! so I cant see him retiring anytime soon. I must say his match against Paul was the best I have seen him play in awhile

I haven't watched him yet here in IW, but during Europe swing he was very grumpy and in a few cases on the verge of a serious incident, like he didn't really want to be there sprinkled with a tantrum like behaviour too. Then during the Arab swing his game started to look better, he was more agressive and less angry on the court in general. I hope he finds his peace soon.
