Golf. Gurl, he needs to hit the practice courts w/ AP or someone other than a player in this tournament.
You tell em @kskate2 ..I will put his ass to the test on the practice courts . I learned this tennis drill where you have to set e 100 straight times into a wall right afterwards a very strenuous practicing session.Rafa should be ashamed of himself. What's the heck is he holding back for! He didn't play like this at Acapolo.

What a great series that was ..the Wire
Was it Emerson who said, “if you strike at a King you must kill him.”
In fairness, of course, it's not "my line." Indeed, the original quote is Emerson, (Ralph Waldo, not Roy,) and the paraphrase is The Wire. Thank you both for elevating the forums today. :)

Interestingly, the Tennis Channel backdrop manages to feature both the US flag and the Ukrainian one.

Slightly awkward during Daniill’s Medvedev’s match that one of the jumbotrons at the main stadium displayed the flags , but the crowd was actually warm to him, all things considered.

At least Rafa was honest in his thoughts on the match
"It was one of the worst matches I have played this year"
"I still dont know how I turned it around".

Paul Annacone said somewhere in the first set of that match that Rafa was doing a "get-off-my-lawn" with the kid. I'm not sure if he still owns the pct. of wins over the youngsters, compared to Roger and Novak, but I suspect he does. However, the tide runs in one direction, and he can't keep escaping forever. However, they could all do with taking a page from his stay-in-the-moment and refuse-to-lose playbook.

I absolutely don't think that the war with Ukraine should be laid on the heads of individual Russian athletes. Or Belarussian ones. He certainly deserves the respect of the crowd. (Or at least until he blows it, himself, which is possible.)
