Great stuff by Schwartzman.

Once again, Grigor demonstrated how weak he is mentally.

And physically. Looks a bit drained out there. Also this is a prime example of how the Nadal camp over exaggerate a lot of things such as Nadal being drained in the Madrid 2009 final against Federer 'cos he played a 3 hour semi the day before. This match is approaching the 3 hour mark and Schwartzman is running around like a madman and has played 7 matches in 9 days.

Very very bad sportsmanship by Dimitrov. What a complete tw@t. Lost a lot of respect for him there.

What did he do? I am not watching my hometown tournament, that's sad...
:nono

After the last point and just before shaking the umpire's hand he mashed yet another racquet into oblivion and then shook his hand. Actually I think they said he forfeited the match and then mashed it to pieces. Hopefully pavlik will have highlights soon.

Whatever hope I had left for Dimitrov, AND IT WAS REALLY NOT MUCH, it's all gone now. I mean being in a bad slump or not being focused on tennis for some time, I get it, no one wins all the time, that's why a ranking system exists, and that's acceptable. However, losing a final to, with all due respect, DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN is baffling. I hope he is happy constantly being in the 30 to 50 range in the rankings, because he has been at that level for about a year now. His serve is non existent, it's like watching Gilles Simon. For shame. Everyone is playing him hard. Everyone can break his serve and boss him around the court.

Actually he never dropped out of the top 30 since he peaked at the #8 ranking.
He coasts between 25-30 for a while by now.

Cheers pavlik. Murat, check the end there. It was deuce in the final game and Dimitrov smashed 2 more racquets and forfeited the match and shook the umpire's hand. Disgraceful.

Congrats to Schwartzman on his first final - two upsets today so far, with Almagro about to close out a third.

But yeah, time to put a fork in Grigor: what a joke he is. At this point I'd be very, very surprised if he ever wins even a Masters. What a disappointment.

That's horrible sportsmanship and very unfair to Diego too... :nono

Yup, shocking. As if it wasn't bad enough that he's a major underachiever, I've now lost a ton of respect for him after that outburst. Mashed a fair few racquets earlier too.

Wow, what a class-less move, especially for Schwartzman, who had to win his first title through forfeit.

On a different note, man is Diego a tiny dude.

Good morning Johnny come lately. There are years since we said that name was a big exaggeration.
