^ Nick failed to consolidate his win against Rafa in his next match at Wimbledon? that to me defines a player,Nick has a lot of work to do in his game.He has to work on his focus in matches,he tends to get distracted easily,he wants to be a 'showman' to the crowd? Pat Rafter and John Newcombe also commented on that fact just recently.Nick also has to work on his bhand, his return game and also his net play.

Mate, give him a break. Yeah, he didn't consolidate, but he defeated Nadal and Gasquet in his first proper Wimbledon event. Yeah, I agree, a lot of work to do. A LOT. But hey, he's still young.:D

To me it was the media hype of Nick at Wimbledon,if you remember the same thing happened to Bernard Tomic when he made his breakthrough at Wimbledon.Media and fans tend to go overboard,I personally wait and see with younger players, lets keep things in perspective regarding Nick,he only won 10 matches on tour in 2014.Nick will be under a lot of pressure to perform well in 2015? btw there is another younger player I prefer than Nick, his name is Thanasi Kokkinakis, hopefully in time his game will mature, both players also tend to pick up niggling injuries, which is something of a concern.

Yeah, there's a lot of media hype, but it's understandable. The bloke is charismatic, exuberant and captivating. He brings a lot of intensity to his matches. He goes out and puts on a show - some may call it cocky and showy, but it draws nonetheless. He provides a fresh alternative to someone like Nard Dog and possesses the same type of spirit that made Hewitt so recognisable. The media loves to get behind someone who has a very energetic and euphoric personality, so it's really not Nick's fault that he has been overhyped.

And yep, I'm very excited for Kokkinakis, too. He seems to be a bit more reserved and inverted on the court, though, so don't be surprised if the media still run with Nick.

Yeah, I like the cocky attitude of Kyrgios but he has to improve mentally 'cos when things aren't going his way his game goes to pieces. He was making an absolute monkey out of Robredo to go up 5-0 when they played and then fell completely apart the rest of the match. I hadn't seen outright aggressive domination like that where the opponent had zero hope of winning even a single point in absolutely years. It was an amazing display but while he could likely never sustain that kind of level, he shouldn't have dropped off so much either to let Robredo win pretty easily. Hopefully he'll get better this year and he still has years ahead of him.

Well I have never been a fan of Hewitt, though I give him credit for his 'never say die attitude'
Nick has a lot of maturing to do on court,as I mentioned before in one of my posts,he loses focus and concentration too easily,he plays to the crowd too much in my view, also Pat Rafter and John Newcombe pointed out the same fact.Thats where Kokkinakis shines at such a young age,he maintains his focus,I liked the way he played his game against Rafa at the AO earlier this year, wasn't overcome by the fact that Rafa was his opponent, his fhand reminds me of Del Potro in ways,I look forward to watching him develop,I prefer his attitude to Nicks quite frankly.
