Yes, it is bit tricky. But, I think Rafa will win as

1. He will be "calm" after multiple weeks of vacation.
2. Verdasco sauce likes hard courts better than clay.

I'm surprised how many players are playing on clay just a few weeks before the HC season
Maybe it's not a bad idea like I thought before, the players know what to do better than us

2 matches in R1 are repeats of a few days ago:
Robedo - Zverev
RBA - Coric

The youngsters were defeated in both, can they turn around the table?

can some1 put daily schedule here as it is very hard to retrieve from atp site. Because for some reason, it keeps on buffering.

Anyone ever heard of this guy Rafa's playing doubles with? His ATP profile doesn't even have a pic. :s

Jaume Munar is a very young player and also from Mallorca

What, Rafa got caught up in the Fog again ..darn it

At least they can't meet until the finals in singles. Lucky break for Nadal?

What a woeful state of affairs that we have to worry about Verdasco in the first round, and feel lucky that Rafa doesn't get Fognini until the final...on clay. But, this is the reality, right now.

As to the doubles, Bolleli/Fognini are a good team. Won AO this year. And from what I saw of the match, their strategy was "hit to the kid." And the kid was pretty good. Decent 1st and 2nd serve. Interesting to note that Moya is 10 years older than Nadal, and mentored him. And Nadal is 11 years older than Numar, and now he's helping out a fellow Mallorcan who's coming up. And Moya is back to working with Rafa? It seems so. I like it.

In fact, I would want Rafa face fognini, Brown and all those in this summer hard court season who had defeated him this year....hopefully win n get over that jinx..

^^They must have been truly desperate for star power showing Nadal playing doubles with his compatriot from Majorca on TCC! I caught the last few games! Why bother if you don't volley at least one ball? Rafa looked like an idiot backing up to the fence just blasting groundstrokes! He was so vulnerable to drops! :popcorn
