Why, oh why, did the Tennis Channel hire the intolerably whiny, nasally Jimmy Arias?! :gross:

DP's cannon comes alive in game 4 of the 2nd set, breaks Richie.

murat, the ball seems slower than at Bercy, but the ball is still moving through the court at a good pace.

I never thought I would say this under any circumstance, but I prefer Gimelstob.

Arias always sounds like a kid bargaining with his grandmother.

JMDP is going to break to get the second, and run away with the third.

DP up 5-2; does anyone think the third set will be competitive?

Nope. I said earlier I thought DP would win the 2nd set going away

Richie doesn't even seem committed to making DP serve out the 2nd set.

edit: and DP seems unwilling to accept the gift.

Is this aggressiveness a new thing? or is it just the indoor season?

DP double faults. If Gasquet breaks him here, it could get interesting. Sub par tennis from both players though.

David Ferrer was doing it too.

I've seen both players be aggressive before on other surfaces so I would say it's not new. Maybe they realize that's the way they have to play if they want to have a chance and it's the right tactic. Neither one could really live with DP or Nole from the baseline.

Meanwhile, DP serves out the 2nd frame 6-3
