Definitely Stan is an animal :spank:
Ouch!

Bit higher and that could have been eye watering. I think Stan was expecting Klizan to go one way or the other but he'd given up on the point, stayed still and took some pain :spank2:

Heartbreaking loses for Kuznecov, Janovic, Klizan and Lu. I feel for them.

I liked to see Lacko and Lajovic win. Lajovic will play against Tsonga and if he wins, he will get reputation of French slaughterer.

Many potentially good matches in Day 2. Some of them are:

Novak v Fiasco

Brown v Raonic

Edmund v Giraldo

Haas v Paire

Mueller v Fritz

Tiaffoe v Kukushkin

Youzhni v Baghdatis

Tursunov v Stepanek

Fognini v Lopez

There are also some teenage sensations to check like Reilly Opelka, Jelena Ostapenko and Ana Konjuh. Too much tennis to watch.

Novak v Fiasco, Brown v Raonic stand out for me. Don't think the results are seriously going to be in doubt for either but should be entertaining.

Monfils/Vesely is another one I'll try and watch.

Wow britbox, have you read my thoughts? that's exactly I'm thinking besides Vasely-Monfils match will be interesting too

You'll be both disappointed to find Vesely in a truly horrible form.

I wondered that myself last week when I watched him faulting all around the court.
I haven't seen him for long time but anyway I don't think Monfils is in better conditions, he has been injured (one more time)

Federer seemed decent enough. 4 set win and 19 aces is better than a punch on the eyebrow.

If Rafa one day would have done or will do 19 aces I would be the most happy of his fans, I wish! then I'm sure he would win very easy against anyone :yahoo:
