Might take some time to see some changes in Aga...when your game plan has been exquisite defense for all your career, it's hard to switch on a dime. The changes will probably come piecemeal, no miraculous turnarounds

Garbine will be in Serena's half of the draw in the FO and you can bet your life savings, mortagage and your first born child on that.

If you're a true Serena fan, why care where Garbine lands? Serena has already proven she can defeat her, so it doesn't matter where they meet next. Serena also knows, she can't blow hot & cold against Mugu. She has to come out of the gate firing or she'll get blown off the court.

I would say that if you are a Serena's fan then you should care about Garbiñe, why? because even that she needs more experience she is a bad opponent for her and improving every day

My point is you should have faith in your fave player to be able to withstand whatever challenge comes their way. Some match-ups are more difficult than others, but a #1 player like Serena is supposed to meet these challenges head on and solve them, otherwise, she wouldn't be #1 if she lost to every Tom, Dick & Jane, right?

Serena just refuses to lose. Channeling her inner Sharapova this tournament it seems. Impressive.
Does Serena really need to channel anything from Maria that she does not already possess at a higher level?

haha True. But you know what I meant. Serena was doing a Sharapova escape act for a few rounds there, reminiscent of Sharapova's '14 FO run.

I agree that we should have faith in our fav player but even that there are other players playing well
Serena is the best WTA player without any doubt but she is 33 years old and sooner or later is going to lose to this one or the other one and more when they are good. I'm Garbine fan and I hope to see her as one of the top 10 soon, I have faith in her because she has almost everything to be one of the best ;)
