Dimi's outfit looks like a little trip to the weight room.

I was resisting saying anything, but now that you mention it: if he wants to be taken seriously, he should stop dressing like a punk.

Do you think Nike gives him a choice, or does he have to wear whatever they hand him?

I'm thinking he wears what is provided. Can't imagine him selecting some of these outfits w/o Maria giving her objection as she's way more stylish.

If he plays serious tennis and begins getting the wins against the top players, he'll be taken seriously no matter how he dresses. :)

Actually, that's an excellent example of this. Nike gave Rafa those clothes, and made him wear them. They were creating a look. Finally he had had enough, and told them no more. (I think it was soon after Wimbledon '08)

Congrats Dimi. Good things will be around the corner for you.

And I am sure you will be taken seriously, no matter what you wear:cool:

Psyched about Grigor! He's my favorite non-elite player, so given Federer's decline its nice to have some hope.

I start to get warmed up to him as well. He is a good kid and I think his future starts to get brighter by the day.

I think there's a bit of form follows function, here. Nadal abandoned the pirate look, (perhaps even forced by Nike) at 22, I think. (I wasn't in favor of it, so I won't try to reinvent that opinion.) Dimitrov is begging to be taken more seriously, also at 22. It would, perhaps, serve him not to dress like he's on the practice courts.

Rafa not taking 3 break points against someone like Nishikori, strange. Some incredible shots from Kei though.
