Despite all the upsets, the top half is in reasonable shape. Serena, Maria and Aga, three who were supposed to reach QF, actually reached QF. Even the other player who made it to QF, CSN, is a top 10 player.

It is the bottom half that crumbled.

It amazes me how Serena is able to get in shape with only a few matches.

She looked as though her fitness was off in her early matches and last night, she looked incredible.y fit.
