Clearly he's injured. PS: That challenge was Safinesque.

In fairness Moxie, Safin's challenges were a lot of amusing and clever;)

I don't know…that one made me laugh. And clever? Neither were. That's what makes them funny!

Granted, F3 wasn't gonna win, anyway. But at least put up some semblance of a fight. This is absolutely pathetic!

David Ferrer has now reach nine straight Major Quarterfinals which is an amazing feat in its own rights.

Ferrer is the first seed through to the QFs. Fognini has some 'splainin' to do about that performance. (Or lack of.)

As expected (and I hate it), they have schedule Fed's match as the first night match.
So, if I want to watch it live, I need to be up at 3 a.m.

I hate it I hate it.

Worst part is, if Fed wins, his next match against Andy will also be similarly
scheduled.

I'm sorry, if you live in No. America there is no complaining about having to watch AO tennis in the middle of the night. It's just a given.

Two tallest guys left in the draw on court now. Berdych up a break and moving like a gazelle, BUT…the wind is up. This can be tough for Tomas's serve, with the high toss. He just DF'd, though held. But this could feature.

Wawrinka might get 'upset' by Robredo. He trails 6-1 in their h2h. Let's see if Stan has improved enough to overcome that matchup.

Just throwing it out there:

Djokovic will beat Wawrinka handily. I'm going to say it's in straight sets too. I honestly hope I'm wrong, but I think too much is being made of that match.

This tournament still needs that match to really set it on fire, which the AO almost never fails to deliver. Let's see if Federer-Tsonga does that tomorrow. Otherwise we might have to wait till the QF's.

The surprise element is gone. So Djokovic will play with full respect and so
I agree with you. Djokovic in 3 sets (but not 1-2-3 like monfils, more like 5-3-4)

The courts being faster will play into Novak's hands. Wawrinka likes to take huge cuts at the ball by standing relatively far back behind the baseline to give himself the time to do it (players with one-handed backhands tend to do that these days, see Gasquet too. Obviously there are exceptions). The courts being even marginally quicker can make that split second difference. Obviously Wawrinka troubled Novak at the US Open too, but Djokovic was completely erratic in that match. I think the sets themselves will be competitive because Wawrinka has a big serve, a big game, and is obviously a very good player. But I see Novak winning each one. My prediction is either the first or the second set will go to a tie-break, and Wawrinka needs to win said tie-break to stand any chance.

First, he needs to beat Robredo.

I agree. I don't think Wawrinka has it in him (psychologically) to pull it off, even though (physically) he could. The two five-set losses from last year will always be in the back of his mind. Would anyone here think he could successfully serve for the match at this point, especially if it goes four or five? Personally, all I would be thinking about is when, not if, Djokovic breaks back.
