First set seemed Nadal had taken a step forward... but now he just needs to hang out there. If his physical conditions does not get (even) worst he can pull it out.

Rafa is taking a MTO? not sure of the problem

He said something to the doctor about his stomach, and the doctor gave him a pill.
LOL the blows Nadal is taking would make anyone feel sick to their stomach, LOL. Stop making excuses and will someone give some credit to the opponent Smyczek.

He's sick to the stomach but no one will give credit to his american opponent's good play.

If you look back in these posts,I gave credit to Rafa's opponent who deserved his win in the 2nd set
I will now watch Rafa's match in peace.

nadal's broken serve and leads 5-4. C'Mon Nadal . Yes you read it right. Noone wants to see Nadal loose in the early round like this. Personally want to see him get thru the semifinal and for Federer to kick his ass in straight sets.

How come I don't know much about this guy? Is he zoning, or was this sort of performance always a possibility?

Wilander and his commentating partner talking about how Nadal said he was cooked even before the tournament started and he's kept all of his answers about how he'll do here to very basic. Even more than normal.

And Smyczek just got the penultimate point in the breaker to go up 5-2. And now 6-2. He's really playing great. Well off and on. Sometimes it's looked like he'll give it away and then he comes up with another great shot or a greatly constructed point. And he takes the breaker.
