I know Rafa has a good record against lefties, anyway I will still take one match at a time:) ( if your predication comes true regarding Rafa and his draw, you can have bragging rights, I know we will never hear the end of it:)
Well, You know I may be on my GS sabbatical but I may stick around this time.

Thats a very good point..Nick definitely is not hungry.. I think of all the tennis finals I saw last year, his vs Novak was probably most disappointing for the fans but not myself because I know that he really didnt want to be Wimbledon champ..
Updated news from Nick he is prepared to not defend his doubles title at the AO, if he goes deep in the singles, at the AO, btw he has just brought into a basketball team here in Aussie and also has invested in pickleball lol!

He didn’t have the gall. Novak must have heaved a sigh of relief when Nick reached the final and immediately start Insta-flirts with him. It was an invisible white flag being waved. “Please like me, Novak, this is all too tough, why can’t we just be friends?”

Novak wisely replied and led him on, defeating him routinely, and moved on. Nick the jilted girlie wouldn’t leave it at that, wanting to flirt some more, to feel that the relationship was really real, after Novak had gotten dressed and left while Nick was sleeping.

It was behaviour I’ve never seen from a player heading into a Wimbledon final. He more or less surrendered, in full view of everyone - on Instagram..

He won the first set, I remembered it wrong. It was 4-4 in the 3rd 40-0 on his serve miss an easy volley and he self-destructed losing the game and the set. He gave Novax a much tougher match then any of his other opponents, it really was a big chance missed by Nick imo.

One day when he is fully medicated and reflect on his tenure on the ATP tour and realize that noOne really respects someone who doesnt competes like a professional. I know Rafa and Roger doesnt. Novak may like him because he sucks up to him.

Tennis players RESPECT ONLY others who will COMPETE to the very end like a gladiator in my opinion.

I will put Rafa's draw on the Rafa fan page as well,
R1 Draper
R2 Nakashima/McDonald
R3 Nishioka/ Munar
R4 Tiafoe/Khachanov
QF Medvedev/Hurkacz
SF Tsitsipas/FAA/Sinner
F. Djokovic/Ruud/Rublev
So basically this is Carlito's draw. Doesn't always pay to be the #1 seed sometimes! Having said all that, I don't see all those matchups coming to fruition. Some seeds will be jetting home early and Nads will get a breather here and there.

Ruud will get nowhere near that SF IMO! He's already talking about taking time off after the Aussie Open! Just saw Draper in Adelaide today! He might take Rafa out in the 1st RD.! Ya never really know! So many possible upsets early on out there! :thinking-face: :astonished-face::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-with-tears-of-joy:
First time we actually agree. What is happening in the universe? Take a picture of this day! It only took Fed & Serena evolving away, surviving a global pandemic and the election of our oldest living President.

I realize it is a draw on paper, for all players, there will be upsets along the way., players going home earlier than expected

What would Rafa draw be, if Carlos stayed? The same as Ruud’s, I imagine?

What’s the story on Novaks hamstring injury? You can’t play with one of them, especially the way he plays - and they don’t heal fast…

Novak has been having that hamstring issues since Adelaide? and won I dont take much notice quite frankly, if it was that bad he would have withdrawn in Adelaide to save himself for the AO.

BTW Craig Tiley has issued a 'stern warning' for anyone that 'boos' Novak at the AO in his matches they will be booted out of the stadium?
Novak has become a 'protected species' just like our Koala Bears and Kangaroo's in Australia :)
