Well consider it a new development. And I don't dislike all Spaniards. I enjoy Lopez, Verdasco and Almagro. I think PCB is ok to watch at times too.
You may recall I detest Simon too and last I checked he isn't Spanish.
I'll consider it an excellent new development, if you stop making doping implications against players, where there is no proof. All of you guys cite Lopez and Verdasco. Nice of you to remember Almagro, though, with a nod to PCB, even, and not lump them
all together, since there are so many of them. But you know it actually took some years of reminding people that a lot of Spaniards weren't mere clay-courters to make even that impression. Let's just consider how long it took some folks to consider that Nadal is not just a dressed-up dirt-baller.
Simon is too easy. He's the poster boy for absorbing the pace of others. He actually IS the guy who makes me understand what you guys call "pushing." As to a lot of other players, there is a tendency to assign them to a category without really watching how they play. And when some see ESP next to their names, they tend to draw facile conclusions. I don't think RBA is really a mere "pusher." Or only defensive, or non-aggressive, or whatever that means to you. For sure Ferrer is not. He's got an effective serve and a very fine finishing inside-out FH. And you can't call Nadal a "pusher," even though you want to. So who does that leave us with? A small pack of middle-weights that haven't had much impact?
