He is still limping too, Margaret. What is he trying to accomplish here playing injured?

The 2021 ATP Cup final is set: Russia vs. Italy. There are three players who are undefeated in singles play: Berrettini, Medvedev and Rublev. Two of those players will face other (Medvedev vs Berrettini). Either Russia sweeps the singles or it will be decided on the doubles deciding match.

This gets into the complicated calculations vis-a-vis the AO. Medvedev is on the short-list of potential winners for this Major. How hard will he press? He and Rublev both may have higher ambitions for the AO than for this. If it comes to the doubles, with Italy put up Berrettini and Fognini, go with the win for country? Very curious to see how this plays out.

I didn't know that. Didn't even know that was a thing. Fed is Fed, but good on Meddie.

As rather an aside, I watched a replay of Schwartzman v. Nishikori. It's rather sad to see that Kei has become such an afterthought, after such a bright potential. Is there a comeback in him?

Wow, I guess no one cares! Congrats to Russia for cruising to their 1st ATP Cup over a loaded Italian team! The defending Champs, Serbia were eliminated early on before the SF! Italy might be a real force in the next generation as they got to the final without Sinner who won Great Ocean Road Open warm-up yesterday! I keep thinking of him being Australian for some reason! Get ready for AO which starts tonight! :)
