Rafa has a real tough draw, even though it is just a 250 tourney. I am sure Rafa will win his first match against Bye. But, after that this is what in store for him.

R16 ---- Juan Monaco, a dirt baller.
QF ---- Dog, a match between one person who wants Rhythm and one who won't give Rhythm.
SF ---- Rafa is vulnerable against big servers.
F --- Pick your poison: Fog / Tsonga/ Ferrer.

If Rafa loses this tourney (which he will with a high chance) it will further add to his lack of confidence. :devil

This event is called Argentina Open, not Buenos Aire Open.

Monaco isn't going to beat Nadal as he's just back after 7 months off tour due to wrist surgery.

A lot of folks from Buenos Aires will tell you that it is exactly the same thing.

Anyone else finds it strange to see Isner playing here instead of Memphis?

He might not even make it to meet Nadal, if that is the case

So much for Dog taking out Rafa; dog could not even get out of the cage. :cry

Now, I have to wait until SF.

Why did you assume the Dog will make it that far? :)

Well, Monaco has averaged about 3 games per match against Nadal, but I am sure he just needed the wrist surgery to turn the tables.

So much for Fog beating Rafa. Fog cleared away very early, in the first round itself.

Dog is gone, Fog is gone. Who will stop Rafa now?

Job is left to Isner and/or Ferru.

We have seen so many times Rafa's draw changing into a cake walk...
Last year, when he won this event, he did not need to deafet any top 50 players.
At least, this year the field is more deep.

I had checked all 3 draws for this week on Wiki and said the same thing! Is Isner purposely alienating himself from the US for some reason? He's already on Courier $#!t-list after bowing out of DC duty to pursue a higher ranking at the end of last season! :deadhorse :nono  :dodgy: :cover

He's getting older and presumably wants to try and do some damage this year on clay. Remember he took Nadal to 5 sets at Roland Garros so with his serve he's well capable of winning a best of 3 event.

I think Nadal wins the tournament. He makes his opponents play the match of their lives to beat him on clay.

That means Fognini managed that twice last year, both could not be the "match of his life" which one was it?
