Dolgopolov won. I didn't see it, but Kei lost in straights. I believe Alex didn't drop a set the whole tournament.

Saw the extended highlights. If Dolgopolov keeps playing like this he will sky rocket in the rankings.

I'm going to have a look. I heard that this is his first title in, like, 5 years. He has health issues, so who knows, but he may be back.

What impressed me is that he was able to generate pace (in a lot of cases) and put some heavy spin on the ball (not so often, but still). That he had a vicious slice I already knew, but now he seems to be able to use the very fast racquet movement he has in most shots. I think this style of play is very taxing, but if (and that is a big if) he maintains this level, he can go deep in the clay masters.

Dolgo's game is probably the most unorthodox that I've seen, not even his opponents know where his shots go so if he has a good day (he doesn't have too many) he can beat anyone.
Anyway I don't see any improvement by Nishi :confused:
