Klizan played well against Agut, but can't manage to bring the same level playing Mahut.

edit: And suddenly, Mahut is unable to serve out the match and Klizan is believing again.

^^ EG I watched this match up to the point when Martin finally held his serve at 3:5 in the 2nd set. Had to run to a butcher's shop for half an hour and so fully expecting this match to be over. Boy, was I surprised. Different Klizan and different Mahut in that 3rd set.

Congratulations to Klizan, must be one of his best results in a long time.

Viktor celebrated his birthday this week, perhaps he overdid it and playing his 2nd week in a row didn't help.

A special mention to Sasha Zverev, he caught my eye 2 years ago and I was imagining him as the next big thing. He is coming around slowly but surely. The kid has shots, smarts and heart - a winning combo.B-)

Klizan has had a couple of tough, emotionally draining matches, but since he won them, that might give him a little of extra motivation tomorrow. We'll see.

Kohli and Gael are warming up for their semi final encounter.

Klizan vs Monfils in the final tomorrow. It was a straightforward victory for Gael against Kohli.

Their h2h is something like 11-2, so Monfils should have been able to win sleeping. Klizan has never lost a final. Hope he wins this.

I looked up the H2H between Klizan and Monfils and I was surprised to see that they had met only once previously, way back in 2007, in Washington, with Gael winning. Could be an interesting final and one not too many people expected.B-)

Of course Monfils has played on the big stages many more times than Klizan. I will be cheering for Martin tomorrow and hope he pulls out the upset.

Early in the first set and the guys are on serve. Klizan had 2 break points and Monfils had 1 but no cigar, so far.:)

Let's see if losing the 1st set tiebreaker is just a continuation of the trend set by Klizan and he rebounds from it.

Klizan is playing according to winning formula. Losing the first set in a tiebreak.

That was a gutsy hold, if I ever saw one. Well done Martin. He really did not want to go down a break at the beginning of the 2nd set, after losing the first.
