World No 4 Amanda Anisimova has withdrawn from the upcoming WTA500 Korea Open in Seoul, fellow American McCartney Kessler has also withdrawn.
World No 2 Swaitek is expected to be the top seed, with Alexandrova, Tauson, Kasatkina and defending champion Haddad Maia among the other notable names competing at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center.Main draw play in Seoul begins on Monday 15th September.
All 4 top seeds will have a first round bye, Swiatek (1) Alexandrova (2) Tauson (3) Kasatkina (4)

In London she is seeing old friends and visiting a country estate for some down time before leaving early next week for the Almafi Coast and her wedding.Williams sisters - Serena, Yetunde Price, Lyndrea Price, and Isla Price as well as her mother will meet her in Italy to help her prepare for her wedding to actor/model Andrea Preti.

In a tournament that was hampered by wet weather, some players had to back up the following day to finish their matches and having to catch up and play another match the same day
Emiliana Arango or Iva Jovic will join the first time title winners in the final

Serena and Venus Williams are taking a swing at podcasting, they will launch their podcast on X with a debut episode on Wednesday.The podcast is called "Stockton Street" named for where their home was in Compton, California. It is set to air every other week on Wednesdays and will be distributed on the social media site formerly known as Twitter.
The first episode was filmed at Arthur Ashe stadium, the main arena for the US Open where Serena won six of her 23 GS singles titles and Venus collected two of her seven.

Italy became the first nation to reach the Billie Jean King Cup SFs in Shenzhen after Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Jasmine Paolini each won 3 sets matches against China on Tuesday.
Italy will play the winner of Wednesday's QF between Spain and Ukraine, who are looking for their first title in this competition.
In the other 2 QFs scheduled for Thirsday, Kazakhstan will take on USA while GBR will battle Japan.

Aryna Sabalenka has withdrawn from WTA1000 Beijing due to a minor injury ( she sustained during the USO )
Iga Swaitek, defending 0 points in the next month ( was suspended last year) can make a push for No 1
Swiatek is 2000 points behind in the Live Race, has 1500 on the line in Seoul and Beijing.
Sabalenka will be back in Wuhan

Bianca Andresscu practiced in Toronto on Tuesday and will head to China to play in the main draw in WTA1000 Beijing next week using her PR of 64 ( currently she is #185)

The tournament in Korea so far has been affected with bad weather and also not a lot of fans in attendance which is understandable
