If Iga wins this match over Jess which it looks like she is going to do, Saba is a very tough match up for Iga. Those players who hit the cover off the ball and don't give Iga the time to dictate the pace of her game it could be a really tough match for Iga.

This is what's holding Jess back. She will never get to the Finals or win a major until she masters how to play the big points. Weapons aren't an issue. She has all the necessary skills and for the most part she understands how to construct points.

No one can hold serve in this match. We go to a 2nd set tie breaker.

Here comes a TB, which is nothing but a bunch of big points to win a set

I am waiting to see who can actually hold their serve. Whoever can do that will win this tie breaker.

And Chrissie just brought up Serena. Saying that's what she did so well was serve when it really mattered. What she failed to mention is even when Serena didn't get an ace or a service winner, in her prime she was absolute $$ in TB's because she played the points so well.

It's not about who can hold serve in this TB. Neither one has a dominant serve so it's about who will make less mistakes.

Iga finally held a serve in the tie breaker and holds a mini break.

Jess has not won a point in this tie breaker on her serve yet.

Finally she does.

I am not going to say that was a good win for Iga because it was sloppy.

I am going to say this right now, Saba with her hard hitting and pressure that she will put on Iga will beat her in straight sets.

Remember what I said. For this particular matchup it isn't about holding serve, but who will make less mistakes or errors. Jess made way too many errors the entire match. Iga is not even at her peak and was there for the taking. This is Jess's best surface and her home crowd and she couldn't get it done. This will sting for awhile.

Agree Kskate Jess made too many UFE when it mattered she had a break in the 1st set and then broke herself
Again in the 2nd set , could not consolidate her chances ...indeed this will sting!
