Carreño gets the early break again, but this one much more hard-fought.

I mentioned that I saw them play live at Ashe 3 years ago. Big difference is who is controlling this match, compared to who was controlling that one. PCB has got the lead in this set, but he's going to have to do more than wait for errors.

Yeah, he is having a hard time to consolidate the break. He got broken again after breaking Shapo's serve the previous game.

He's going to have to be more aggressive if he intends to level this match. Denis is definitely better and more organized than the last time they played here.

Watching this match, this is where Shapo might have a problem playing with Zverev. Usually when a lefty faces a righty, it will be the forehand vs backhand battle. And most of the time the left will win that battle unless the righty has a GREAT backhand (Djokovic, Murray and etc...), in this particular case, Zverev is comfortable on trading those type rallies with Shapo. The question for Shapo is he willing to do a backhand to forehand exchange with Zverev?

In addition, if Zverev is serving well, can Shapo return well enough to make Zverev nervous?

Even though Shapo lost that point, that was a hell of a get around the net post.

Denis the Menace getting sloppy in this set, and his serve is dropping.

I do like that Shapovalov is coming to the net a lot. He is not settling in with long rallies against PCB.

PDC is relentless. He’s like a machine. THE WALL. Shapovalov is playing great, better than Djokovic. But if PDC keeps this level he will break him down too.

The good thing here for PCB is that if he does break Shapo's serve, then he wins the set lol!

I think that play will win him the match. PCB is laying back. But Denis is aggressive, and has been playing some doubles. Let's see if that works if we go to a TB.

Both players have become UFE machine in this set. Just too many silly errors.

Here it is: TB. Who is that older woman they keep showing? Denis's grandmother or his medium? :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Just like the 1st Men's match, whomever makes less mistakes wins the match (assuming of course if PCB wins the 2nd set).

I like the move up to the net, but you risk the pass. Now Denis is behind the mini-break.

I really don't know how Denis got that volley, at full stretch.

Set a piece. Maybe we'll get a really interesting match today, after all.
